Vindhya Mahotsav

The three-day Vidhya Mahotsav 2015 begin in Vidhya regions prominent city Rewa from 3 April. Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Surendra Patwa inaugurate the Mahotsav 2015, while Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla was present on the occasion. The Mahotsav is being held to make tourists from country and state aware about Vindhya regions culture,history,traditions, archaeological temples, civilisation and otherthings. The event is being jointly held by Rewa Tourism. Development Council, Madhya Pradesh Raj Bhasha, Culture Department and Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. Minister Shri Shukla said that Vindhya Mahotsav has been included in cultural calendar of Madhya Pradesh. He said that efforts are underway to include Rewa in tourism circuit of the state. The Minister informed that work has been started to beautify and make attractive Chirhula Mandir on the lines of Rani Talab.Chairman of Rewa Tourism Development Council and Collector Shri Rahul Jain also informed about Mahotsav. It was informed that over 50 self-help groups will sell their products in Shilp Gram. Journalist Shri Jairam Shukla informed about cultural

and literary traditions of Vindhya region. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Gaan was sung on students of Girls College. The Ministers duo released Tourism Department’s brochure and Kala Panchang. MP Shri Janardan Mishra, MLA Shri Divyaraj Singh, Mayor Smt. Mamta Gupta, Satna Mayor Smt. Mamta Pandey and a number of art lovers were present on the occasion.The Ministers duo inaugurated Shilp Gram set up on the venue. They also inspected products of self-help groups and sought information about them from members of SHGs.The Ministers duo went round Vindhya Trade Fair.
